Approaching Superior Potassium Storage of Carbonaceous Anode Through a Combined Strategy of Carbon Hybridization and Sulfur Doping

Carbonaceous materials are promising anode candidates for potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) given its high conductivity, stable property, and abundant resource, while practical implementation is still hampered by limited capacity inferior rate behavior. Herein, we report a superior carbonaceous through combined strategy of carbon hybridization heteroatom doping. In this composite, hollow spindles (HCS) were anchored on the surface graphene (G) followed with sulfur doping treatment, aiming to integrate conductivity graphene, good structure stability HCS, S doping-induced ample active sites. As PIB anode, S-G@HCS composite can display (301 mA h g?1 at 0.1 A after 500 cycles) long-term cyclability up 1800 cycles 2 g?1. Impressively, it deliver an outstanding 215 10 g?1, which most anodes as-reported so far PIBs. Experimental theoretical analysis manifests that construction graphene/amorphous interface as well enables regulation electronic ion adsorption/transportation properties material, thus accounting capability composite.
